During this engaging session, Elizabeth Høiriis Thorsen and Mette Strunge Dubert, special consultants at the Danish Authority of Social Services and Housing, spoke about the Danish National Strategy on Housing First and how to transform systems toward Housing First.

These presentations were followed by a discussion, allowing attendees to exchange insights and ask questions.

About the Speakers

Elizabeth Høiriis Thorsen has a long history in the field of homelessness. In close collaboration with municipalities and other stakeholders, she works to ensure a greater spread of the Housing First approach in Denmark. This includes, among other things, developing a new digital tool to support the implementation of Housing First, focusing on the method's fidelity. She is also responsible for a National Partnership of stakeholders.

Mette Strunge Dubert also has a long history in the field of homelessness. In close collaboration with municipalities and other stakeholders, she works to ensure a greater spread of the Housing First approach in Denmark.

About the Organizer

Housing First Europe Hub

The Housing First Europe Hub was established in 2016 by the Y-Foundation (Finland), FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organisations Working with Homeless People), and more than 15 partners.  Since then, the Hub has grown to include more than 37 organizations, cities, government ministries, housing providers and researchers from across Europe and beyond.

The Hub works in partnership with core and associate partners to promote Housing First as the first and central response to homelessness.
