Goals
- Ensure awareness, accountability to harm reduction best practices, and commitment to delivering on the harm reduction services prescribed by the Ontario Public Health Standards.
- Maximize opportunities for advocacy, education, and augmentation of services, and contribute to the shared interests of our health unit counterparts in their response to the needs of people who use substances and the opioid poisoning crisis.
- Incorporate more anti-stigma initiatives related to individuals who use substances, through community education and awareness.
