On February 23, the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) hosted "IMHPR Day 2023" to foster collaborations and knowledge exchange across CAMH and to increase awareness of IMHPR research.

- Keynote address on reducing mental health and substance use treatment gaps;
- Presentations on major policy and prevention initiatives, including research on substance use and suicide prevention
- Panel discussions on priorities in policy research and research innovations.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. María Elena Medina-Mora
Dr. Medina-Mora is the Head of the School of Psychology, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and affiliated with the Center on Global Mental Health Research National Institute of Psychiatry (INPRFM/UNAM). She is the former Director-General of the National Institute of Psychiatry Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz (INPRFM) (2008-2018), a WHO collaborating Center since 1976, and Director General Emeritus since 2018. She is a member of the Informal Scientific Network UNODC/WHO, and the PAHO/WHO High Level Commission on Mental Health and COVID. Among other awards, she has received the NIDA Award of Excellence for her international leadership and contributions in the field of addictions.
