The META:PHI Virtual Conference 2025 took place on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5. This year’s conference theme was Substance Use Health is Community Health. Conference sessions were selected to appeal to all healthcare service providers who work with people who use substances.
In addition to 1-hour sessions, the agenda included:
- Keynote speakers: epidemiologist Daniel Werb, speaking on the current drug policy landscape in Ontario, and Indigenous health changemaker Dr. Esther Tailfeathers, speaking on community strategies to address the drug poisoning crisis
- Panel discussions on connecting peer support and community
- Workshops on community-driven integrated care with PWUD; and an introduction to dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
- 15-minute ‘Snapshots’
