About the Speakers

Laurie O Donell is a Research and Advocacy Officer at Focus Ireland, experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and co-author of ‘Growing Older at Home: Investigating Long-term Housing Needs of Mid-to-later Life Focus Housing Association Tenants.’

Dr Eileen Corroon Sweeney is a General Adult and Old-Age Psychiatrist and the Clinical Lead for the Inclusion Mental Health Team in Dublin South City. She is also a Clinical Lecturer at Trinity College, Dublin, and is interested in the contribution of early-life trauma to mental illness and social exclusion.

Housing First Europe Hub

The Housing First Europe Hub was established in 2016 by the Y-Foundation (Finland), FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organisations Working with Homeless People), and more than 15 partners.  Since then, the Hub has grown to include more than 37 organizations, cities, government ministries, housing providers and researchers from across Europe and beyond.

The Hub works in partnership with core and associate partners to promote Housing First as the first and central response to homelessness.
