Housing First for youth: Free online training

This three part training was developed by the Canadian Observatory on HomelessnessMaking the Shift Demonstration Lab (MtS DEMS) and A Way Home Canada. The target audience includes frontline staff and managerial staff.

Part 1: Introduction to Housing First for Youth

This free training is an introduction to the Housing First for Youth (HF4Y) program model intervention to address youth homelessness. This training will be of interest to those involved in the housing and homeless-serving sector and those who work with youth. The course takes approximately 6 hours to complete.

Part 2: Housing First for Youth Program Model

This training is the second in a 3-part series on Housing First for Youth (HF4Y). In Part 2, HF4Y Program Model, you will explore the types of housing and supports that are appropriate for youth who are at risk or experiencing homelessness. This course takes approximately 8 hours to complete, and the training above is a prerequisite.

Part 3: Housing First for Youth Service Delivery Model

This training is the third in a 3-part series on Housing First for Youth (HF4Y). In Part 3, HF4Y Service Delivery Model, you will learn about the day-to-day operations of a model of housing and supports for youth who are at risk or experiencing homelessness. This intermediate level course takes approximately 8 hours to complete.
